Parag Khanna is Senior Research Fellow at the New America Foundation, Senior Fellow at the European Council on Foreign Relations, and Director of the Hybrid Reality Institute. He is also author of the international bestseller The Second World: Empires and Influence in the New Global Order (2008) and How to Run the World: Charting a Course to the Next Renaissance (2011). He just presented for TED in 2009 an interesting video on geopolitics. He describes future changes around the globe with particular emphasis on how the role of oil production, and infrastructures for exportation are modifying Middle East, Central Asia, and Far East regions.
